Yes..... Maine. Much less expensive than MD and most likely DC.

In Va. you can get a permanent registration but it still needs an annual inspection.

I did VA permanent but others have gone the Maine route. I am not sure how insurance works for the Maine route. Maybe someone can enlighten me/us?

Just had a conversation about this. Maine may be cheaper but will your insurance cover it? I need to sort this out myself soon. (Mike's trailer is my old tire Trailer....)

For whatever reason (I don't recall) I just went with Va permanent for the open trailer.

Calling around about inspections...places will do it but don't seem to want to do it.

In comparison to the roughly $150,000 he has spent over the last 15 years due to getting into DEs?

I need a frame of reference, VG.

Noticed that my spell checker does not like a wheel maker but does like sex. My reply was not intended to be as harsh as it came across.

I don't remember trailer reg costs being all that much for ether the enclosed or open and I am tightwad. I think some areas have laws about where it is stored lining up with the reg.

A bigger deal than $ and plates is storage. HOA's, city and county laws can be a pain in the butt.
