Hey guys,
Guess most people check this board every day or so. It can take a while to page through each section to read the day's active threads.

What would be massively cool would be a stored search for [posts where date=todays date] displayed as a preview list. To get an idea, take a look at Today's Active Topics on http://www.pcapotomac.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi . THis might be the only nice feature of that ancient version of UBB that Potomac runs.

Just a thought. Thanks for the board - you guys do great stuff!

Tony,

That is a good idea. Geoff and I were recently talking about adding some features to the board to make it more useful and easier to use. We were kicking around a quick reply box (like Rennlist and Pelican recently added), a chat room possibly and some type of Rolodex/address book. When we get around to updating the board again your suggestion will definitely be taken into consideration.

Tony and Charlie, I find hitting the button for "view posts since your last visit" to be a pretty convenient tool to quickly keep up with posts.

Well...umm....yep, that would be what I meant. Guess that nice-to-have feature I wanted is already there. This functional blindness is embarassing.

Sorry - ignore this thread.

Tony,

I don't use that feature either. I just look for the orange indicator highlighting new posts.

Damn, put me down for being oblivious to this feature as well. I was also using the orange indicator method but not now! Thanks for the heads up Bill

Tony don't feel bad its not like you use computers for work or something.

The view button tends to load early and I click it as it forms.

Gee, maybe I'm qualified now to be a computer consultant.

At least as qualified as I am to be a Porsche mechanic.
