190sl is my favorite as well! Just not keen on the rear seat. Person sits sideways high up with no seat belt. But on the plus side, it doesn't really look like a seat, so when only 2 of us, cooper could ride up front

iirc, no Mercedes SL had any kind of seat belted rear seat. At best, you could option up a cushion and put it back there. 190SL, while pretty, isn't all that sporty.

Classic Mercedes Convertible, as already mentioned, would be a 280SE 3.5
A less classic/more modern (reliable?) would be a 1990s 300CE Convertible, but I gather that's too new.

I've certainly seen 356 Cabs with rear seats/cushions. (Heck, I used to cram in the back of our 356 Speedster when riding to/from kindergarden )

Just how vintage/classic/unsafe do you want it?

Morgan 4-4?

Ryan, if you would consider an American car, the '65 T Bird convertible was one of the better looking 4 seaters. As I recall, it did not have rear seat belts, but I installed them for my kids. The top folded into the trunk, so you also needed to learn how to deal with the manual application.

Good luck.

A man of Ryan's stature would need something a bit better.. like a Super Beetle!

or maybe build something like this, but a convertible:

Dad used to cram me and my sister in the back of his Alfa until I got car sick and threw up in it. And my Godfather used his E type Jag 2+2 as his family car for you few years (although the convertible version has no back seat)
