Car Transport Company
It's been a long time...
Happy to report that I may need to ship a Porsche to DC soon. Which transport company have you used (and recommend?) Thanks!

Toby,
When I sold my 66 to a friend in California I used : http://www.intercitylines.com/ Stellar service. Husband and wife team uses a custom enclosed trailer. They spent over an hr. in pouring rain inspecting the car and had me sign off. The price is the price. Only caveat is you are on their timeline so be patient. I'll vouch for them.

x2 on Intercity (pcar moved from from Ma to Fl and FL to Va). Perhaps not the cheapest, but seems to be worth the premium. May depend on distance you need to have your new car moved and time of year.. some of these guys book up for the season (think August in monterrey Ca, lots of cars moving west soon for concours, and later auctions in PHX, snowbirds moving cars back and forth north/south for the season etc)

I have used InterCity three times in the past few years CA to MD, PA to MD and the most recent was from SC to MD. Service has been excellent, however the scheduling for this last move was less than desirable. As a result I will not be using them in the future.

I also used intercity to move a car from WA to MD, would use them again in a heartbeat.

Toby.... does this mean we're going to see you around the paddock in the near future? How have you been?

Thanks all for the recommendation and feedback.
Hope you are doing well, Scott. Yes hope to get the car and put some track mods in time for VIR on Labor Day. It's a 987.2 Boxster S. Speed Yellow too so should look familiar to everyone! Will post pictures once I have the car.
