Yeah, uh, USAA, not sure how a fire in my backyard started and turned the dirt into glass, but is that covered under my home warranty?

fwiw, I believe its "Securis.com" that Loudoun County partners with on their hazardous days to take care of electronics/phones/laptops/certain tvs etc. I recall seeing their trucks when I went in October to their hazard day in Leesburg.

I have “discharged” more than a couple visibly failed lipo packs. The boy scavenges laptop and tool power packs from the battery recycle area at the local dump. We disassemble, test the cells then make up new power packs from the good cells. Most failed packs are due to one cell or the BMS. “Rapid mechanical start discharge” is not all that much of a thing. They hiss and piss and smoke and consume themselves a little bit before running out of energy. Don’t even burn through a bit of scrap wood they are on.

How big is that battery? Appreciate the humor, maybe the shovel went through the battery and hit the fuel fuel tank it was sitting on?
