Default G 50 trans fluid

Maybe I am over complicating this. I want to change the transmission fluid in a G50 with LSD. The Porsche approved, Mobilube PTX, is unobtainable to mere mortals (maybe through the dealer?). Is Mobil 1 75W 90 LS basically the same stuff? I am sold on the fact that PTX is designed for Porsche. I also like the lower viscosity when cold.

Does it really make a difference?

Advice, thoughts, experience appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

I used the Mobile one when my 88 was a street car without issues. As I recall It was Mobile one for the G50 and Swepco for the 915.

Went with Mobil 1 75 W 90 LS.

Shifts very smooth. A little easier than before. Hopeful it shifts easier when below freezing out as previously it did not like to go into 2nd on the first try. Will see.
