Default Electrical help - 951 with LS1

I have a 951 with an LS1 swap that a garage has been working on for a long time. It is at least 95% complete, and it runs and drives. The garage has gone bankrupt and is closing, so I am getting my car back unfinished. I need to find a garage or an individual who wants to take this on. The garage that had, which was a one-man Porsche shop, is willing to provide any help (over the phone) they can, and a guy that they subcontracted for electrical work is willing to help also.

Issues I know about: windows, radio and dash electrics don't work. Instrument cluster works I believe. Taillights won't turn-off. High-speed engine fan not coming on. This may be a relatively easy project, or it might not. Needs assessment. Thanks.

Is the electrical subcontractor willing to work for you directly? That would seem like the best course of action.

You can spend $$$ on having someone troubleshoot electrical, so best to stick with the person who already knows the car vs paying hourly for someone to start from scratch learning your car.

The LS wiring is complete. Only Porsche wiring issues.
Subcontractor says he's too swamped.

What 1-man Porsche shop is closing?
Agree with BT about the electrical guy who knows the car...

I hate to bust your bubble but as guy that knows 951's forwards, backwards, and sideways I can tell you electrical issues are sometimes the hardest to find and diagnose. Throw in the fact that the engine/wiring harness is no longer electrically plumbed from the factory, this project sounds like a nightmare. Not sure how proficient you are with reading schematics and a DVM but wiring diagrams are all available for download so you could start tracing circuits yourself. To pay somebody to do this would get very expensive and most shops won't touch it since there is high probability for no success fixing somebody else's work/butchering. Makes it tough to charge a customer for diagnosis and give the back with no success. One obvious thing to look at is to make sure all of the smaller red wires that attach to the side of the positive battery cable are all hooked up. These feed many of the accessories you mention are not working. Hopefully it is that simple.
