Default How do these spark plugs look.

Volvo XC90 2008 150K. Thought it was time to change the spark plugs and to my surprise, the previous owner must have done it 80K+ miles ago. Also, I was surprised to see Ford plugs.

How do that look? I wonder if the pointed tip is wear or that is how they come.

No idea how to read plugs, but that was the first era of volvo…might be original plugs or factory dealer replacements.

Did you know the xc90 V8 had its origins from the Yamaha Ford SHO V8 from the Taurus

These are iridium plugs and the electrodes look like that when new. In my opinion they look pretty good for 80+k miles. They appear to have brown soot on the electrode with is a good sign of proper AFR. #1 appears to be a bit more fouled than the rest but in some cars that can be a function of the intake runner flow not being efficient as the others.

Ford owned Volvo in 2008 so that explains the FoMoCo plugs.
