Another one followed us home - 86 951
Steve was kind enough to drop this one off a couple of weeks ago after rebuilding the engine and giving the car a through once over addressing any mechanical issues. Thanks Steve, your attention to detail is impressive.
First order of business was replacing the phone dials with a proper set of 951 Fuchs. They are one year only, not easy to source and $$$. Paul over at Radial hooked us up with a nice set of Yoks 225/245. Next up the paint needs some love and then we will focus on a few cosmetic issues, charge the a/c and maybe a short shifter. Didn’t want to abuse the other cars, primarily use will be HPDE when things are a bit closer to “normal” See you at the track

TY, likewise your new toy is cool.
Yes - when the track seat and harness go in, most likely a Redline. PS: It has a new clutch, just saying TY, This basically replaces your old M3. I really liked it but wanted a Porsche for HPDE.

What's the asking price of the VW? Do you have over rev and leak down reports?

I have bolt-in 944 roll bar if you're interested. It was originally in John Houston's car before he converted it to a race car with a full cage. I thought I was going to install in my 944S2, but decided to stick with stock seats instead. BTW, nice get on Steve's project. Good builder, and good new owner!

I'm fairly sure there is a redline rollbar in my basement also. I've got some seat slider/mounting stuff as well with the seats. The seats are likely on the old side. I haven't seen Karl in a while, but I suspect they are too small.
