Default Any HWFMR members in the DC area?

Moving from Chicago, car is here, though I am homeless. I have found InterSport, so far they have treated me well.

Any other red or blue 'Hey, Wait For Me Racing' members in the area?

Mark from Baltimore comes to quite a few PCA Potomac DE events. We also see a few more of the guys at VIR. Mark promised me a membership when I nailed a deer at the end fo the straight at Summit Point last year [and raced later that day, despite carryig several pounds of BambiBurger], but nothing so far. Living in hope.

The Dorki promote irreverent anarchy. You will find a large and loose group of wrenches, addicted DE rats, and a few racers. Good company.
You found a good guy in Charlie at Intersport.

So welcome aboard! We need a name, and some details about your car and your sordid driving record.

I have a Boxster S, 62k miles, it is my everyday driver, snow tires in the Chicago winter, pilot sport cups for DE, SO2 for summer.

How many other women do you know with 3 sets of tires and a breaker bar and torque wrench in the trunk? Scary or impressive, you make the call.

I started DE 5 years ago, have been to Road America, Mid Ohio, Gingerman, Putnum, and Blackhawk. While I will change my own tires, I am always willing to allow someone else the privilege to do so. Don't want to break a nail and my mechanics gloves match my nailpolish, as do the 6 point harnesses and racing shoes. Mr. Blackwell would be proud.

Am known for my contact paper cut out #s, last week they were Barbie Doll Hot Pink, if I get into SP, most likely black faux marble and the # is 690. Also always have a bottle of champagne for after the race, hence the HWFMR position.

Would love to get, "You've just been passed by a girl" on the spoiler, but can't get the font to print correctly and 'Girl driver' just doesn't have the same effect.

To gain official membership into HWFMR you need to submit your application, go to the 993 board on Rennlist, title it HWFMR Application and let the beatings begin, then when you are admitted, our website is
www.heywaitformeracing.com

The Porsche Boys in Chicago kept an eye on me and kept me in line, am hoping the Dorki's are just as hospitable and ornery.

Kirstin

hospitable and ornery? Count on it

We have some great grrl drivers here, some of which you will doubtless meet at your first Potomac event. Mid Ohio 31May is the next event, which may have space open even this late.

And on the color thing, you need to meet Betty Church. Here's why:

Welcome, Kirstin.

I'm the guy that kicked the girls in kindergarten to get their attention.

Welcome Kirstin!

You can kick my tires, and while you are at it, how about touching up my wheels?

Welcome, Kristin. Sounds like you are a serious track junkie - hope to see you at SP in May. Come out to Hershey on the Mid Ohio Tech Inspection next weekend and introduce yourself.
