I was at VIR this past weekend and thought of Tuffy because of how much time we spent there together either at DE's or PorschePlatz events. Returned home to hear this bad news. I know he was very happy to be appointed to Zone 5 Rep earlier and I am glad he got to fulfill the role while he could. He was one of a kind. Rest in peace, my friend.

I hadn't visited this site for a long while, and out of the blue, I thought I check out the latest today. And I came across this very sad and heartbreaking news. Tuffy, I miss you deeply.

Tuffy was one of those people I aspired to be, but I have known I could never be. He had a deep impact on me in many ways. He was a sturdy and gentle soul. I always enjoyed talking with him. He was also one of the instructors who fundamentally changed the way I drive, for the good and bad of it. I will cherish a few privileged lunches I had with him, where he patiently explained the inner workings of PCA and Potomac to me, trying to mold me into a better person. I think he missed the mark a little

One of the proudest moments in my DE 'career' was in late 2013. Last session of the season at SP, red/black combined. Tuffy led our group of 5 out of the pits in his yellow GT3. After a few laps, as I approached him, he gave me a point-by very late going into T3. After running with Potomac for 7-8 years at the time, this was the very first time I had ever received a point-by from him. Late or not, I was taking that point-by and I just dove into T3 with tires screeching. After the session, he came by and said "I thought you well after all of these years" with a smirky face.

Rest in peace, my friend.

RIP Tuffy.

He convinced me to get my Cayenne back in the day and was a tremendous support to all.

Was sad to hear of his passing. Tuffy was one of the good guys in the PCA and Porsche world. Always enjoyed talking with him at the track and listening to his stories about his time in law enforcement (had some good ones). He will be missed. RIP Tuffy
