Default Recording In Car Driving Video

I've been fooling around making some videos
Im not looking to buy anything expensive for this project.
My phone, in a mount is doing a pretty good job.
The biggest fail is the ambient noise like wind ect that drowns out the music from the engine that my ears can focus on.

I think sound is pretty important.

I tried a remote mic today, but I feel like I need to burry it in a sock or something.

What is the best way to produce this?

Thanks!

I don't have this particular one, but this kind of wind screen is pretty common. I think this particular one is a sock you put over the end of your phone; the microphone would need something different.

The camera location can make a big difference. Stuck on a windshield or otherwise near an open window is a pretty noisy spot.

Bill, you joined Dorkiphus in 2003. How are you just now getting around to playing with video?

Where are you mounting your phone? When my camera is mounted inside and to the windshield using a suction cup mount all I hear is my engine and those of the cars I pass, no wind noise.
