Default Looking for a DE Cayman

My husband Jim and I are looking for another Cayman S 987.2 or 981 DE car w/PDK and sports chrono -- ideally w/ standard track mods of roll bar, seats, 6-point harness, third radiator, suspension....

Nice.. the slope got slipperier! I would consider a 987.2 if only then the advantage of parts compatibility, especially consumables like wheels, tires, brake pads. Not sure how different a 981 is in these items.

But seriously... https://dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthread.php?t=39438 .. lets go!

The good news is that the 987.2 w/ PDK should have the third radiator from the factory.

Wow, that GT3 is beautiful. I LOVE that color. We are on a list for a GT4 but thinking an already track modified Cayman S would make more financial sense!

Ed, our Cayman didn't come with a third radiator -- we had to add one. . . .

That's a good one right there... she said "financial sense" This is where everyone else chimes in with:1) Spec Miata 2) 944 3) Spec Racer Fords or 4) 996 Cup car

With that said, I wish you good luck on your search. To me, the search is always the fun part.

YOU are just like Jim then. Of COURSE NONE of what we do makes financial sense.

My <$0.02
Based on talking with Jim, pdk is not a must have for him which could expand your options for finding a car.
Look on PCA Mart. I think I saw a couple of gen 2 track prepared Cayman, but they are manuals.
Good luck.

Thanks Nader. PDK is a must. Jim is willing to buy a manual, but I am not. Thanks for the tip on PCA Mart -- never heard of it!

Considering her PDK reply and the fact that they have a pdk already, it would seem she's looking for hers and hers.

I am fresh out of Caymans (except for hers), sorry!
