Eric, just goes to show how you lose touch by not looking at the board more often. Had no idea of what you went through. Glad that things are getting better.

Re retirement. would suggest you look at Austin, TX area. Great town, great university, several other universities and colleges in the area. Reasonably low cost of living. Lower outside Austin proper. Not state income tax, low housing, low gas. Property taxes are high. Great quality of life. Great car culture.

If you want to talk more, PM me and I'll send you my contact info

Best of luck moving forward,

Tuffy

Thank you for the kind words and all of the recommendations; keep them coming - though detailing others' cars is much less therapeutic than perfecting my own!

Coincidentally, being a college town was on my list of desirables in retirement locations; it brings an increased level of energy, culture and ongoing learning/teaching opportunities. Of course, by the time I've listed all of my preferences, it becomes the rarest of unicorns and impossible to find!

As for next track car, I'm thinking: https://www.rsrspa.com/car-rentals/p...91-rsr-edition at Spa and Nurburgring... But at those prices, probably more like this:
