I didn't know Jim, but it seems with such outpouring he was a amazing person. I am truly sorry to hear about his passing.

Gee, I knew Jim was on the mend because my wife always asked if he could substitute teach for my wife and had to decline the last several times citing he was still recovering from his surgery.

He was a calm, extremely knowledgable gentleman.

We will miss him.

Very sorry to hear this indeed. I didn't know Jim either but I believe I've met him on a few occasions at tech.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

This is truly awful news.

I first met Jim when I played T-Ball with his son Jamie after first having moved here in 1985. After that, Jim was my Cub Scout Den Leader, so I spent a lot of time as a kid riding around in his yellow Vanagon. Jamie and I went to different schools, so after Cub Scouts was over with, we lost touch. Fast forward to 2005 when I started doing Tech for PCA, and I got the chance to be re-acquainted with Jim. It was a great surprise for both of us to meet again after so many years. I really enjoyed sharing lifts with him at Tech, and hanging around with him at the track. He always had good information and a great attitude and was just fun to be around.

My thoughts are with Jim's family. RIP.

Very sad news.

Jim was a such a kind man and I enjoyed our many chats at tech sessions over the years.

We will miss him.

Jim and I grew up in the same neighborhood, but because of our age difference I only knew of him. I was blessed to meet Jim in October of 2010 at the October DE, and I have really enjoyed getting to know and be friends with an incredible guy. I am so shocked and saddened by this news. Jim and I had been e-mailing each other just this week. We talked about his health, his cars and getting together. My last e-mail with Jim was on Wednesday . Jim was such a wonderful guy and he will be very missed by his family and many, many friends.
