Thanks I will try that. In this case the switch isn't a part of the compressor itself. I have ordered what I hope will work.

Update: the GM switch (i bought an after market one, but guys at Midas told me it looked like a standard GM cycling switch) worked perfect. system back in action.

Did my first caliper rebuild this weekend, rebuilt both rear calipers. Couldn't get the pistons out with air, so eventually able to hit em gradually with a screw driver and hammer and get them out. brake fluid was orange, which i presume was just rust build up in the system.

car almost ready for sale.
