We have had a black edition 2012 on the lot for 3 days and have had a ton of internet and phone interest. guy is flying up from florida to collect on saturday. 997.2 base cars are apparently where it is at.

Not very many 997.2 black edition coupes produced, around 1,000. A very small percentage were 6 spd manuals, I’ve heard as few as 15/20% of total production.

Modern cars are just that, and all the innovating has spoiled and softened us.
You shouldn't expect the same feel from an old car. Get it because you love the way it looks, or because you want it. But expect discomfort and noise when you drive it. Otherwise, just look at a picture. As Karl and I know, there will readily be someone out there to take it off your hands once the novelty wears off.
As for the 911, I've had a few, but the most enjoyable was my 83sc coupe. Even though it was gold with brown interior, it was probably my favorite overall driving car of everything in my sig.
