True. But it will mess them up for riding a regular bike

Bet I could hurt myself trying.

On a less serious note. Hell of Hunterdon (New Jersey) is this weekend. I'm a product sponsor...BFD and riding the event. There will be some famous dopers in attendance. Come on down.

It was and it was. My riding pal is T.Kellogg, a handmade bicycle framemaker (blatant name dropping) We soft peddled the the ride and had a great time laughing it up. We even stopped to push some bozo off the road who had run his Porsche Cayenne out of gas. Who does that???

FWIIW This is my side business making fancy bicycle chain lubes, greases and what not. We just got a terrific review from a major pub. (NFS is my product) Despite that every big name bicycle chain lube company tries to out do themselves by over thinking what it takes to lubricate a bicycle chain without gumming up the works. This is interesting and sharable (here) because there is nothing revolutionary about lubes right? Dorkiphus is the last stop on the BS highway which I appreciate.

OK Josh I'll bite - where do I get it locally? $230 per 10,000km riding? Sounds good but the question is do I have the 6200 miles all in one year? or can I spread it out?

Where do I send it? PM me.
Follow instructions. Worst thing you can do is use too much or fail to wipe sideplates after each ride.
FWIIW the stuff is spectacular as a low speed cutting fluid.

Sounds good --- I hope we are still taking about bicycles here. Will PM you with address. By side-plates - do you mean derailer side plates?

The chain sideplates. SOP after every ride use a 100% rag and wipe down the sides of the chain. There will always be a small amt. of lube weep that forms as a haze around the pins/rollers. If you can keep that to a minimum than dirt is less likely to coat the chain...which in turn causes the lube to become draw out of the pins/rolls and so on and so on.

It will cure your asthma too.
