Default TIME-SERT M14 X 1.50 Metric Drain Plug Kit #1415C

Anyone have good results fixing oil pain drainplug threads? In the past I've been lucky with a 14x1.5 tap or just replaced the pan. Thinking about adding this kit to the box. As usual, its not something I use very often but it would save a bunch of time compared to a new pan.

Thanks

Just curious - can you use this with the pan on the car or do you need to remove? Seems like you'd get metal bits in the sump if you didn't remove.

In car service. Agree on metal bits, I thought about that too. Between grease on the tools, brake clean and some oil down the shoot I think/hope? they would be picked up.
