Kevin, you have e-mail, but I think I answered my own question.
I'm in for 2 and will send the check today!
Any more details on the track time?
Did I see it right that we are guarnteed 1 hr? Wow!
How many are signed up?

Can anyone post directions to intersport? Or have their address?

Am I reading this thread right? Non-porsches are invited for the fun run to SP, but not invited to do the parade laps? Either way the cost is the same?

David, it is my understanding that once we reach SP, we are guests of the Ferrari Club. Since we were invited as the "Porsche Driving Club" they might frown on seeing other makes on the track under that invitation. As for the price, it still includes the lunch buffet. Hell, your welcome to my right seat for the track laps if you like.

Ah well, I'd love to put the e30 on the track, but a trip through the backroads in my ne-to-me 528i could be a lot of fun too. If I'm there I'll take you up on the offer to ride along for the laps.

We are guaranteed to have no less than 30 minutes. Since Sunday during FOW track events are slow there is a strong possiblity that we will have more time.

We are the guest of Ferrari of Washington. Our time on the track is called a novice class, which is like a more enthusiastic parade lap situation. This is by no means an all out track event, but the FOW crowd is good at making the novice runs entertaining. We will also have access to the skid pad track.

Its going to be a fun day. For $35 I must be nuts................

Just a word of caution as to the definition of "parade lap." Last month in perhaps a similar type FOW event at California Speedway, a car improperly entered the track in front of a CGT, causing it to spin. Tragically, Ben Keaton, the driver and a passenger in the CGT did not survive the crash.

HI All,

Kevin, I posted a check for $70 today for two folks. I'll be there. I'm not sure my P-car will be but worst case is I follow the drive in the Supra :-} and beg a ride on the SP track with someone.

Anyone have a spare space in their passenger seat? I've got a helmet and camera!

Keith

The event in California was not an Ferrari of Washington (FOW) event, it was a Ferrari Owner's Club (FOC) event. These are two different organizations. In California, the organizers did not control the flow of people on and off the track. The Carrera GT had ended its session on the track. The driver choose to "take another" lap. The event organizered failed to communicate amongst themselves about the car still on the track and released the "Lunch Time" touring session out on the track. This was a terrible situation that could have been easily avoided. Because of this situation everyone running track events is taking extra care with this matter, FOW included. We have the assurance from FOW that the issue that occured in California will not happen here.

I'm glade you raised the issue.

Kevin, thanks and I assumed your description to be the case. Just wanted to raise all of our awareness.
