Default 915 Diff Bolts

So Im swapping out the diff in my 915 with a LSD. It appears the bolts are the shorter version since its an open diff flange thats thinner. These are just 12.9 bolts with a groove for locking tabs. I have two options ... I need to buy new bolts or source used ones that are of the longer variety. New bolts are ~$20 a pop vs used ones for $8. I havent seen any aftermarket bolts like ARP that can be used either.

Question ... Has anyone reused these bolts with success? To my knowledge these are not torque yield bolts so technically they can be reused. Thanks in Advance.

These are proprietary bolts and they are very hard. If there is any fretting on the shank of the bolt they will snap. The head breaks off and usually gets swallowed by ring and pinion. Catastrophic.
Be a man and buy new bolts.

Sorry, but Matt's response made me laugh. It was very informative yet gave a big bitch slap, all with just two lines of text. Clear and concise. Well done.

THAnks for the info Matt. Good to know about the fretting issue. Proprietary makes sense with why they cost so freaking much. I bought the bolts new last night.
