No Pcar work this winter. I'm going to be busy rebuilding my replacement Westy by installing Subaru engine, replacing suspension, adding disk brakes, replacing cooling system, etc, etc. My previous Westy burned up in June due to a catastrophic engine fire on the way back from the beach. Too painful to add to the "Failure" thread.

Only one pcar project, finish ... no, make that, get the track car drivable for track duty. Too many line items to list for that but the major one's are:

Install the 2.2 six in place of the 1.7l four
new suspension parts
New brake system
rollcage
new paint
install fuel cell
16 quart Peterson oil tank
front oil cooler
New wheels
New tires

There's more but that's the short list. Good thing is that I already have all the parts, the bad part is I say I'm going to finish this every year!

I intend to change my stock AOS to motorsport version that is supposed to solve the oil consumption issues at the track that results in the dreaded heavy smoke at start up. I just have no idea how to get it done

I've seen several write ups for Boxster AOS replacements.. can't imagine the Cayman would be much different, no? I am sure "search" is your friend

Check valve adjustments (very recently adjusted, but the engine is out!)
Reinstall engine and transmission
Install headlight relays

I actually found some nice instruction for the 3.4 ltr engine, but I am definetely not the guy to do anything around engines. And the installation and adaptation looks like a 8-10 hour job, with me trying to do that would about 5 days, not hours. So, I will have to pay someone $7-800 on top of $500 of the part, which nearly the entire mods budget for the year

Winter to do list.
Sit in Garage, behind the wheel and make Varoom noises till all the salt is off the roads.
