Bmw m2?
Saw a review of the 2019 M2. Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Anyone have the 411 on any pros or cons?
Thinking about switching to something w/a back seat for post retirement fun. And possible DE whip.

My experience is with the "early" cars with a little less power than the current cars with the detuned M3/4 motor.
"Right size" package for me - big enough that you don't feel like the Suburban next to you can't see you, but small enough that it fits everywhere a little better than most cars. It's kind of like an e30 in the respect that it's better than the sum of its parts. Great steering (compared to many BMWs of late), good shifter, excellent brakes, and just feels right from a handling perspective. My boss in CA had one, and my CEO here in MD does as well. I've driven both, and I'd like one for myself. Price is still too high for me at the moment, but I'm hoping they make enough of them that they get in my price range pretty soon.

We have a 2017 M240 xDrive vert. I traded in the Boxster for it, thinking much the same about comfort (not as low as the Boxster) and usable rear seats, although the rears are usable, there's not much space back there for an adult.
Yes, the M2 is more trackable than the M240, but that does not mean that the M240 is not track worthy, and it does mean that the M240 is nearly everything you want in an M car but very livable on the street. I chose to go with the M240 because it really does get close to the E46 feel. Good luck in your search.

2018 LCI (N55, not S55) here. If anyone is on the fence, come on over. It's my daily, and I don't regret my decision. I was looking at this or a 987.2 when I was shopping. It really is a fun car.
