Default PCA Potomac 2019 Autocross Season

Greetings folks!

Dates locked in, contracts signed, conflicts with DE Tech averted, and registration pages are online.

https://pcapotomac.org/activities/au...hedule-article

Registration for all PCA members will open on 3/1 at 12pm. Non-PCA members can signup starting 4 weeks before each event date.

A few highlights for this year:
-Summit Point has opened up a section of the BSR property and we'll be utilizing the "Cone Pad" on the outside of Turn 10 (main track).
-Season points events will be split about 50/50 between Summit and Bowie.
-Events at Summit will start at 8am (an hour later than Bowie events).
-We are returning to PorscheFest and our friends in the Chesapeake Region have agreed to run the event. The registration link will be posted once details have been worked out.
-We'll be using a proven run group schedule that should allow us to get more runs and keep the same schedule.

Sweet!

How big is the new Summit Point "Cone Pad"? Looks to be about 1/2 length of Washington Circuit but 2x as wide? I presume bigger and nicer than Bowie?

My guess is overall it is similar in size to Bowie, but the pavement is excellent and there are no light poles or curbs in the middle of it. The concrete section close to turn 10 is not suited for autox; it is so slippery we will likely keep the course 25' away from it.

Cone pad looks fun but the little road-course-looking layout just East of the pad looks pretty cool too

Maybe in 2020!?!?
