Default So should I wait to hear from PCA or sign up for Mazda?

I checked the Mazda site, and they have openings for the same day as the PCA HPDC. Should I take my chances with PCA or sign up for the Mazda class? The Mazda one is 2 days!

Ferrari of Washington has a track day the weekend following the HPDC and when I talked to them the other day they had spots available. They're open to anyone regardless of car make.

I will be at the Mazda event, too. It's my third time running with the club, and would recommend them.

Hope to see you there! (I drive a Yellow Boxster.)

Yes it's a regular DE. But they allow first time students, too.

That's what I figured. Based on my own experience a few years back, I would shoot for the Potomac HPDC before attending a regular DE. It's just nice to learn the car limits ahead of time, get some braking theory/ practice, etc. But not having attending the autocrossing school, I don't know if all that has already been covered. Even if it has though, it's good to get out on the skip pad.

Default Shooting for the HPDC

After reading everyone's suggestions, I have decided to volunteer to help out with the HPDC (with the small hope that someone doesn't show up and I get to take their spot ). No Mazda run for me...

Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

You'll have fun even helping out. I hope they assign me to the skidpad. I don't get car sick (good for the me and more importantly, the student) and the chance to get a car sideways while you're hootin' and hollarin' is always a good time.
