Default Fs: 2000 996 c2

SOLD

Excellent condition inside and out. Zenith blue metallic paint, space gray leather seats, six speed manual transmission with cruise control. Many upgrades including improved oil baffle, spin-on oil filter, light-weight stainless steel exhaust, and ROW M030 Sport Suspension with H&R sport springs. Behe custom tune. Comes with Carrera II eighteen-inch wheels, with new-ish Michelin Pilot Super Sport summer tires. (Optional set of second wheels with winter tires available at additional cost). Seats show normal wear for an eighteen-year-old Porsche but have no tears or rips. Replaced the old pitted windshield. All maintenance is current. Detailed records back to 2012. In the last 12 months, replaced plugs, coils, water pump, thermostat, air-oil separator, rotors and brake pads. MD inspected. Clean CARFAX. 105K miles. Asking $SOLD, but special Dorki pricing available.

And to answer the inevitable IMS questions: Bought the car in 2012 with 68,000 miles from a Porsche dealer in St. Louis. The only record they had was of clutch and rear main seal at 67,000 miles. L&N Engineering doesn't have a record of the VIN, so I'm assuming it's the original IMS bearing. I put in an IMS Guardian and have done oil analysis on each oil change since. I always figured I'd do the IMS bearing when I got a new clutch, but so far the clutch is fine.

So why sell? I think what saves these cars is regular use. They don't like to sit. I'm currently working a long-term project that takes me regularly out of state so I'm just not driving it. I want to get a 997 S when the kid graduates from college in three years so now seemed like a good time to sell.

I'll have the car at the July HPDE at SP (find me on the skidpad.)

Lots of photos here on Flickr

LOL. unlike that HoodPin guy that buys anything FS on impulse, I am only a casual car shopper.

Still trying to convince Carolyn to test drive a Corvette. May be a ride in one at PorscheFest could help.

I am learning about 996 and have gotten a few leads on cars that make a good base for what I think I want to end up with.
