Thanks guys. Seems like it used to be alot harder to get manuals ...times have changed. From what Ive seen 70K+ are in the 6K-7K range. I got mine and a 915/44 for 5K package deal. Not bad in my opinion.

Holy Shite!! Unless the motor is bad, that's a SMOKING deal. Minimum price for a running 3.2 is >$4K.

Was the motor matted to the trans? If so then very good deal.

Not matted but the trans is in very good condition. Same seller ... Worked a package deal. I've been stalking eBay for the last few months. The motor might have a bearing that needs to be looked at. Either way I'm happy with the deal.

Um...isn't "looking at a bearing" on a Porsche motor a complete tear-down rebuild?

Yeah. I figure for the money it's better and then it's a known quantity. We wil see. The PO said he heard a sound but couldn't confirm during driving and shut down. Could be somthing dumb or a rebuild. Who knows. Still cheaper then buying individual parts to make an engine or buying an 80k motor. While its open the crank will get mods for oiling and maybe aftermarket rods. We will see. Either way I'm still excited about it. Really the last parts I need for my build.

For the price of a rebuild, I'd consider driving it as is and see how it does. Pulling the engine is peanuts compared to a rebuild. I'm sure others will disagree--esp. those who've seen their rods through the hole in an installed engine...
