Default "Crystal Cove" Type Meet - MAXWELL

Hey Maxwell,

I read your post that was mixed into Rennlist gathering post. I think this is a great idea. The Crystal Cove meet looks like a great event as I am always checking on the pics from the event.

I think you were tyring to bring the event somewhat closer to DC so we can get a more central location for many of us. My suggestion would be Shirlington or somewhere in Alexandria possibly.

Keep us informed...I know you've posted this idea on a couple other sights as well.

Shirlington is a little tight on parking these days -- everyone would probably be scattered throughout the parking garage... We had a Dorki gathring or two last year in the big parking lot at Eisenhower Metro, which was a great place. There's a Bread and Chocolate (for coffee) right across the street.

Sounds like a good possibility.

Ok, since a lot of people have things to do on sunday we're going to do the original idea of meeting on Saturday morning. Here's the skinny:

Initial Meeting Point:
Rockville Starbucks - Located next to the Silver Diner
11806 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852
Time: 10:00am

This is the usual Rennlist/Dorki parking lot. It supposed to be really nice out this weekend.

I was hoping it would be a little closer to Alexandria/Washington DC because I have to drive to all of these events from Southern Maryland. Oh Well.

yah, this is where they've always been held, so I figure it's easier to just go there. You gotta bring that red beast out man!

Rockville is just too far to make it on a regular basis for me. And I'll miss the Rennlist gathering on Nov 19th because I've already got plans that weekend.

They're is already an event similar to Crystal Cove that's held every Sunday between 8:00 and 10:30 at the Dunkin donuts lot on 29 and 197 in Burtonsville MD.
Its affectionally known as the Church of the Holy Donut.

They get a lot of muscle cars, street rods, and both current and vintage model Ferraris and other exotics.. the gathering is steadily growing!

Of course we're expecting the same type of gathering this Sunday at Rosecroft Raceway for the Porsche Swap Meet!!
The swap is Porsche only.. The display and "cars for sale" corrals are open to all euro marques..

Boy am I glad you guys clarified what the heck you were talking about. Between talk of Maxwell, TYNUSKT and the church of the holy donut, I thought there was cult activity going on here . . .
