Thanks for the frame, she cleaned up nice. It is going to work well. I think we are going to set this one up as the single and the other on as a fixie. We got lucky, the triangle is already spread and after lots of back and forth the USPS found the wheelset I ordered two weeks ago.

Just need a few items cables, a lever or two and a 15 T gear with spacers and we are pedaling.

Thanks again!

Well it turns out that I had enough parts to re-build my old bike for my son. I did have to buy a BB (Dura-Ace non-sealed bearings) to complete. The components are very much the same as the other. This frame was re-finished in purple a long time back while I lived in CO. I was going to sell it but I am emotionally attached as I rode it in 2 Ironmans including the historic 1989 Kona. Historic because that was the year Scott Molina beat Dave Scott and basically ended his career. By the way, I was no threat to them.

The Gios is really nice.
Hugh, you can find the correct height for those levers by putting a straight edge on the bottom of the drops outs pointing forward. The bottoms of each lever should just touch the straight edge. Those are Scott Drop In bars? Awesome.

The Gios looks great, how does it ride?

Your frame is looking good.

Too Tall - I had to read your post about the brake levers a few times before I understood it but basically your saying the brake levers are too low an the bars. I think those are Dave Scott bars - had them for a long time.

Karl - Looks great but I think I did not charge you enough, oh well. Does look really nice and enjoy. Looks like you took off the smaller chain ring.

Well this was the first time in 25 years I rode both Sat and Sun and will not discuss actual numbers as it is embarrassing. I did add 25% distance on Sunday and went 3/4 of a mile and hour faster so success. Perhaps this thread is motivating. I also think it is real good training for hot weather DE Sessions - Something I am sure to experience next weekend.

Right now the Gios is bolted to my resistance trainer but will get it out in a couple weekends. It is very short wheel base and VERY responsive.
