Just feedback to the organizers - regardless of which track, Mother's Day is just not a good day me. My lovely wife is patient with all my other track days, but a track day on Mother's Day just isn't going to fly. Neither would a track day on Easter, Christmas, her birthday, our wedding anniversary, etc.

Mid-Ohio sounds like a great place that I'd love to drive - just needs to be a different weekend for me.

It might be easier to move Mother's Day.

Dirk, In some cases, wives also have children and are referred to as Mothers.

The DE weekend used to be in April, but the weather was all over the place and often pretty bad. That led to PCAP requesting a weekend later in the year. M.D. weekend was the one.

MO is a popular track. PCAP doesn't have enough pull to score a better weekend. This just reinforces why PCAP is looking at dropping the event.

But no worries, as you will be able to attend MO on any weekend you choose, as long as there is a DE group there that weekend who needs participants.

Is this a highly technical track? Are there instructors/coaches here?

I am interested, but am well aware I do not want to bite off more than I can chew after a mighty one day of DE experience.

I am 'bit' by DE / track experience, but trying to manage time for all at home...

Green and Blue Group drivers always have instructors for the weekend.

Ken,

It's a technical track, but I've never had a student who didn't find the "dance" by Saturday afternoon. It's like the first time you take the chute at SP at speed, and realize what you can do and how it feels - that's what Mid-Ohio is like. Tough, rewarding, and really, really fun. It also rewards driving much more than power, so you '88 Targa will be goovin'.
