I haven't really paid too much attention to Kimi, but after qualifying he came off as a deek, no?

Prolly most exciting race in last two years.
Weather is a great equalizer...its too bad we have to wait 3 weeks until the next race. I've got it on Directv DVR, I can see if I can cut a DVD sometime this week. I hate to say that I am a Schumi fan and found the jousting he was doing with DLR unbelievably stupid!!

I think Lucky is correct in that he made a bonehead decision during the race (although it may or may not have been his decision). Overall, throughout the season I think he has been doing ok. While he is certainly not the next Schumacher (I may live the entirety of the rest of my life and never see another), I don't think he is the worst on the grid either. Especially when considering he is driving last years car. When one looks at what little Nico has been doing with a far superior car, I wouldn't count Speed out quite yet. Before this season he had only driven a F1 car twice. One can not compare him to Kubica, De La Rosa, Davidson, even Kovalainen, et all.

Montreal F1 (result spoiler)
Ok. Now that the bulk of dorkis are back from the track and stayed up late watching this F1 race.. wow..
Hamilton did phenomenal in qualifying (pole) and then goes on to win?!?! Alonso gets passed by the super best friends (aguri) team in the closing laps when Sato passes on the OUTSIDE near the final chicane!?! Heidfeld holds it together to finish second! Kimi finishes somewhere in the points Massa gets black flagged and DQd for not watching the lights at pit in/out (pits were closed when he pitted) Kubrica has a massive wreck that had me thinking back to when Senna was killed but remarkably lives and , at first report, doesn't have anmy broken bones?!? Sure, only 12 or so cars finished, but between the wrecks, the poor driving by some (alonso), weird pit strategies etc. No doubt one of the more exciting races to watch. After thinking F1 would surely loose its appeal after Schumacher left (well, he's not driving anyway, although he's been in the Ferrari "pits" the last several races - no doubt annoying Raikkonnen ) the action on track seems to have made up for it. Hmm.. Makes me wish I was headed to Indy this weekend for the US F1 race

Alonso's tires faded at the end but not before he scored fastest lap. McLaren has the 2 best drivers and cars right now. I have a feeling Massa's brain fade will only get worse the further he gets down in the points. Glad to see that Kubica only had a sprained ankle and a concussion. What a wreck!!

While I don't doubt he (Alonso) could have had tire (and continued brake problems) he is actively fighting for the championship with his teamate. Every point is important and getting passed by a supposed "backmarker" couldn't have gone over well with Ron Denis. I don't think other world champions would have been so graceful .. It would be pretty hard looking back to realize you could have the championship by 1-2 points - all because of the, perhaps infamous, Sato pass

Given that Alonso spent more time in the grass than on the track, wouldn't be surprised if he damaged the suspension at some point. Same w/ Raikkonen, I think something was broken, but its the same story w/ him every race, he always has some excuse. Definitely the most exciting F1 race I've seen in a while. Probably since the race last year in Hungary w/ the rain when Button pulled out the win.
Incredible that Kubica only had a few scratches. Watching that crash real time was frightening. I know those cars are designed to come apart except for the cockpit, but he hit the was straight on at full speed.
