Default What to do with damaged hood

Yeah, I think I know the answer to this but blah blah air cooled blah blah parts getting harder to find...

This is the original hood from my 85. Big ass dent where I hit a deer. I was about to take it to the dump but wanted a second opinion. I have a replacement hood for the car that is 100% undented. Any reason not to take this to the scrap metal pile at Shady Grove?

I like stuff like that to make patch panels. Or maybe practice some bodywork. Or just take it to the dump.

Garage wall art but it needs a plaque with a story to go with it.

I had an extra hood that had a lot of rust around edges. Cut it up and used the metal for some other project, I.e. closing panels, battery mounts, air ducts
