I'm converting my 912E cooling system to a Tangerine Racing Horizontal system. I've done all the mockup and prep (drilling spark plug holes, etc) and now need to get the fan and shroud powder coated.

Unfortunately, Alexandria VA and the surrounds seem to be a bit of a desert in this kind of service. Anyone have a good recommendation for quality powder coater within a 30 minute drive? I have a couple names of places in MD & PA, just dont want to drive that far.

Alloy Wheel Repair in Laytonsville, MD specializes in wheels but they do other things as well. They just re-powdercoated my wheels which came out really well.

American Stripping and. Coating in Manassas is still tops. It is what they do and they do it well. Rusty, greasy part to ready to install. I am reluctant to recommend anything to anyone but this company has always done the work to the spec, on time and on budget for me and my clients. YMMV.

X2, have used them for lots of stuff over the years. They used to have an oven big enough for a full sized car!

Extreme Powder Coating in Lorton did my rocker panels many years ago; solid work at a good price and easy to work with.
