Default 911R Fuchs questions

I have 2 911R Fuchs wheels - 7x15 . They are unrestored but need a good cleaning.

1) Any suggested cleaners that won't ruin the original finish? In particular I want to clean the backside and try to locate the original ink stamp

2) I know there are "new" 911R Fuchs being made (Maxlite and even Fuchs come to mind). Any idea how this is impacting the market for the old ones? Any suggestions on value?

I'll try and post pics later

You are one lucky camper, those are some of my favorite wheels, strong and light.

Here is some data that you may find useful, part numbers and weights - etc.

As for cleaning, SD20 is good for clag. I use Mothers for stubborn spots but you must be careful, use too much and it will remove the finish.

Rustoleum Chrome is a very good match for center caps and such.

I have no idea on value, been out of the old car game for awhile.

Thanks for the tips.. started with "soap and warm water" which was a good start to get the years of dust off them. Looks like one is from '68 the other from '69

Unrestored set of 4 would get you $4k.

Good work, very cool wheels. Wish they made a 16x7 with that backspacing...they'd be great on a skinny fender 914.
