Found an Abandoned 1977 Turbo
On a random drive in my 944 I found a neglected 1977 930 sitting at an abandoned house. VIN number confirms its a a legit US spec 930. Its not in the greatest condition but looks to be pretty much complete.
Seeing its on abandoned property, I left a note on one of the functional looking cars there hoping whoever mows the lawn sees it. I've also found the property owners name and mailed 2 handwritten letter to 2 of his properties. If I do get a response and he wants to sell, what would the car be worth, dont want to overpay but also wouldnt want to insult the guy. Thanks and here are some pictures

Good find, but what a shame about it's current condition... Looks like a full restoration is needed.

Im surprised the rear tail and wheels are still on the car. I would have thought they would have been long gone. Pretty cool and sad at the same time.

Believe it or not it's not an abandoned house he lives there. I've tried buying it myself for years. Someone wanted a part off an old Ford truck he had he said nothing is for sale, few days later the part was stolen.
Consider yourself lucky he didn't catch you on his property. |

Must be the season for abandoned 930's. I helped a friend sell this one he found a couple of weeks ago. It was a 1980 Euro car found in the boondocks of WV. Hard to believe in this day in age with all of the internet information floating around that stuff like this exists. It's still out there.

Is this the car uin Lime Kiln? I looked at it about 20 years ago. Sunroof had been leaking for a long time. Interior completely gone. Snakeskins on the inside.. The house is associated with the farm across the street. I noticed that maryland tags were placed over a set of VA tags at that time. The house is a real Jeffery Dahmer house. Roof leasking badly into the upstairs.. There was a lot of bodywork done on the rear at the time. I'm sure at the time I saw it, the car was unrestoreable.

Don't know the car but I know the road. There's a bunch of houses on that street that look like leatherface might live there. Not a place I'd be snooping around after dark. It's creepy even in the day time.
