Default Potential Fun Run October 15 for fans of the 914

Canceling this event
Sorry all - my 914 needs brake work and I probably won't get it done in time.

In an attempt to meet some more local 914 owners, I had proposed a low-key event on Sunday, October 15.

Tentative Itinerary:

- Meet at the Hollin Hall Alexandria Cars & Coffee (8am-10am)
- Caravan together from Mount Vernon to Clifton, VA (approx 1 hour)
- Brunch/lunch together in Clifton
- Depart

It's not getting a ton of enrollment via 914world, so thought I'd share here for any 914 owners or 914 appreciators who'd like to join in. Let me know - we would need a count to make a brunch reservation.

That's the plan!

No coincidence that I tried to pick a date during "914 season"

I'd love to join you, but there's no chance my 914 will be drivable before next year. I suppose I could push it onto the trailer and tow it, but that just seems a little too on-the-nose (for both 914s and 944s.... )

You're both welcome to drive whatever you want, even if the engine's in the wrong place.

I have a car or two with the engine in the proper position

Mind if I bring the Boxster Spyder, weather permitting

Sounds fun and I would be up for it if it weren't for it being so far away. And my engine is in the wrong place But I sure would love to see a bunch of 914's! Always wanted, and still want, one.

I'm going to go ahead and cancel this in case anyone had it penciled on their calendar. In addition to low response, I've also got a badly dragging front brake which probably means all new brake lines before I can drive any significant distances.
