Those miles are not an issue with the turbo if maintained properly.

Thank you for the heads up. Thought I had a chance (it was looking promising based on the conversation) at this until the seller let me know an hour after our last exchange of emails that it was sold. Back to the drawing board.

Tim-I wish that car was somewhat closer.

Hate to break it to you, but that car was neither a 964 nor a 993.

Paul ,
Much cheaper to get Lane's RSA, order a RS carpet and velcro it it should cost around $300 I got the rear deck part for the speakers and if the problem is the full cage just cut the front part. In the world of prep cars you spend 100 and you sell it for 50. I am sure if you buy a base car 964 or a 993 you will be spending another 25K in future to make it a decent car for the track

Exactly. That's why I'm waiting for Antonio to hurry up and finish prepping the Lollipop car.

I disagree that you need $25K+purchase price to build a decent DE 964/993, especially if dual purpose. Decent dual purpuse shocks are $2-4K (PSS-10 are less than $3k), sways and fancy drop links (tarrets) are $1200, seats/harness are $2k depending on what you want. A 964 that does not have any of these is below $20K. You can have a fun car for about $25K total.

Lane's car is a decent race car, but I would not buy it if it was going to be my daily, as well.

So, when are you going to sell me the 964?

There is nothing to see here. Just move along. I should have asked the owner to sell it before she bought another one. To top that, she had the audacity to drive my car for almost 7 hours last weekend.

That's just crazy!!! Lots easier to take out the front of the cage than try and sort a pure street car for the track boy-o!
