You are welcome to your opinion. It carries as much weight as my opinion. You say it is retarded, fine. Choosing to live in NYC is retarded.

It's not about making Porsche look bad, it's about making historic Germans look bad no matter what they may have accomplished.

The media has become the new secular Priesthood. Whatever they say is right and is to be believed and accepted or somehow you are a modern day heretic. I say bullsh*t.

Why, because they don't have the same point of view as you?

No, because it is very well known that they hold an extreme bias towards one political side. FWIW, no main stream media source holds the same point of view that I do. And, I'm sorry, but you are nuts if you think that the media is anything to the left of center.

That would mean that europe is so far left to be almost right and that, GE, GM, etc. are left wing organizations. After all, most of the media is owned and/or supported by them.

Cucu for cocoa puffs.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Dr. Porsche didn't need the clearly biased and politically motivated History Channel to make him look bad. It's a historical fact that he willingly (ie, not forced in any way) worked with the 3rd Reich, and while there is evidence to show that he did not share their political and "racial" agenda, he overlooked it in order to make sure his checks were cashed. I say this as someone of 100% German ancestry: they were ALL guilty by complacency. Anyone who works that closely with the Devil doesn't need a pseudo-history/entertainment show to make them look bad.

Also, speaking of money. That's the media's only bias. Even Rush would spout the benefits of Communism if it would make him more money. At the end of the day, the "corrupt" New York Times or the "evil" Fox News doesn't care about who's running the country, they care that their readership/ratings are up and so are their profits.

Just to try to lighten things up, in the early 1990s my wife drove a BMW and I drove a Mitsubishi. We called them the Axis Fighters. Like the Zero, my Mitsu was light and maneuverable, but could not take much flak.

I also remember a BMW brochure depicting company history saying that the 1930 and 40s were "not a productive time" for the company.

I worked for Bayer and my dad worked for Hoechst. I guess we're directly responsible for IG Farben's Zyklon B.

If any one of you guys were a captain of industry in Hitler-era Germany, you'd be jumping at the chance for gov't. contracts. Hitler was not (viewed as) an enemy to his own people (at that time). And Germans of that era did not judge themselves by American standards of present times. Do you really think everyday Germans knew what was going on in death camps in Poland? I doubt even the IG Farben employees in Poland knew what was going on. They made dyes and pesticides and the gov't. contracts were plentiful. Protest, lose your job and attract the attention of the Gestapo or make money and keep your head down?

Anyone who mentions FEMA camps here is branded a black helicopter nut and we have a "free" media. The Third Reich was a repressive police state that did most of their dirty work outside Germany's borders in the occupied territories. I don't recall seeing any photos of Ferdinand Porsche wearing a Nazi armband and most of his work was done in Austria. Much like a lot of our employers here not bothering to check the legal status of their workers, he probably didn't care where his factory workers came from either. Even if he did, he'd probably rather have taken his chances with the eventual WWII victors than make a fuss and deal with those consequences with the Gestapo.
