Well it sounds like what you want to do is sell cars for your own profit under the blanket of someone elses license and expense. Not a real attractive proposition for someone that has worked to build a business...

Plus nobody here knows you.

No. Not at their expense. I would purchase the vehicles I was interested in selling and split the profit with the dealer. I don't know if you can do this under a 'sales persons' license. I just think the 'four cars per year' rule in Virginia is pretty lame.

Bill, lighten up.

Pete, I don't see why you *couldn't* do it. You just have to find a small time guys who'd let you do it on the side. They would likely just do the paperwork and you'd be a "partner" of sorts. My uncle -in-law does something similar in MD. Though maybe he's got his license by now...

Your best bet would be to stop by a few indi dealers and just ask.

PS. Bill, am I reading this right, you're now Porsche-less? anything in the works?

Nobody is answering because nobody knows the answer, apparently. You didn't touch a nerve, you just asked a question that no one could answer. We're more of a DIY/track crowd than a buy-it-and-sell-it crowd.
