Understood Dirk,
The whole point is more support.
That seat will provide more support than the stock seat, even with the stock 3 point seat belt.

I have to seriously consider it!

You could buy 1 used and 1 new Recaro - but to get the folding seat for a Boxster doesn't make sense (they ARE comfortable - used to have them in my old 911) because there's nothing to fold it forward for. A fixed race shell that you find very comfortable would probably be easier to find used, and less expensive, and you might find 2.

That is how I decided to go. I bought the Recaro Speed seat from Tony. I will continue looking for another. As for folding, I see the benefit since to access the front of my engine, folding will be useful vs removing. Of course for some lengthy work I'll pull them out, but for a quick check or serpentine belt swap they will be nice.

I appreciate your comments and suggestions.
