Default Stripped the inside of alternator shaft

Saw something about welding a cut off hex key in there - any other ideas? One day I’m going to need to remove the nut. Or break a fan belt on the highway.. thanks.

Removing the alternator isn't hard but does take time.

In the interim, you could get a strap wrench around the pulley. I did the same thing when I first got my 993 in 2007. Thought it was a hex...
