X2! Guess us Brookeville dorkis are a bit slower readers than the rest of you folk. Will miss the gatherings at the Taj Garage. Picked up more than a few good nuggets of knowledge there over the years. You still riding your bike to work every day?

The garage space is a compromise from the last shop space. Overall between this space and the basement shop space I have over 2X the floor space as the old shop but I have a lot less space and ceiling height in the new garage. A stand alone garage is sometime in the future but I want to live here and let the needs and desires evolve first. Across from the parking area is a small outbuilding with the back up generator and some other stuff. I think I will end up building a stand alone automotive shop next to the gen shed and put the air compressor and fume extractor in the gen shed.

The lift area is tight but usable and a far cry from jacking the truck up and changing oil in the driveway. It will suffice for the passenger cars and trucks and is just fine for working on long hoods and bathtubs. Made the portion of work bench in front of the lift the movable so I can get the bigger stuff in. A long hood will fit well with the bench in place. On the other end of the spectrum a full size crew cab long bed sort of sticks out a bit.....

Still need to rework the welding equipment area and add in one more LED lighting panel. Handy that the electrical drop is right there. The PO did me a solid with a 400 amp service to the house and the location too. Plenty O power and space in the panels. The compressor is in an alcove the PO planed in for a future elevator.

Nice setup! Looks like you're better organized in a few months than I am in a few years.

XL-9 older model. Just short enough to tip the posts up. I drilled the holes all the way through the slab. That way I can remove the lift and push the anchor bolts down below the surface and patch the holes.

A big family room. I tried to tell the wife that I wanted to make some "stadium" seating for the room by installing a 2' tall platform, some modern theater seats and a set of steps up. Just so happens the platform would have been right under that garage space. Even with 9 foot ceilings it was still a "Nope"
