Default Legal services for setting up a partnership?

Does anyone out there in dorkiland have a recommendation for a lawyer who is well versed in setting up partnerships or other such entities, particularly (but not limited to) pass through entities for real estate. Based in Virginia though operating in the DC, MD and VA.

Many of us here are on at least our second partnership, so there is a lot of available info on what to do and what not to do. And if you ask past partners, I'm sure the list of 'what not to do' will be quite long.

Hah good to know. I'm still early in the process, but I'm sure very soon I'll have my own tales of heartache to share.

The dorki community is a good one to be a part of. Ebola thanks for the pm.

I have a number of recommendations for Lawyers as well as for CPAs. Don't forget about the entity structuring from the financial side! The legal paperwork is easy, it's the tax planning, payroll/passthru, Keogh vs 401K vs IRA, and other items that cost you the most in the long run if not thought through early.
