Be careful -- I understand the gov't planted listening devices in a handful of these cars when they were offloaded from the transport ship...

Saw it last night. Motor out and lines being pinned. Looks to have been pampered. Time to start treating it right.

On some of the wet motors Porsche used a part made by gluing thin wall metal tubes into an aluminum casting. The metal tubes have a bad habit of poping out of the casting and letting all the slippery coolent out in a real hurry. Pining is often done by drillng a hole through the casting and tube, tapping in threads and screwing in a plug/pin that holds the two together by more than glue.

^^^ what he said. Yani has learned from my oopsie where I lubricated T2 for those behind me several years ago. Thankfully everyone’s car control skills were on fleek and nobody went off.
