Default Bmw e30

I was attempting to find the problem with my speedo and when putting everything back together this 6 pin (5 wires) connector doesnt seem to have a home.

it is under the steering wheel, comes off the main harness and i cant for the life of me figure out where it attaches...any help appreciated...

It's connector C240, which plugs into the SRS diagnostic module. You must not have airbags in that car.

IIRC in our old E30s, all the orange connectors throughout the car were for the airbag system.

Edit: and if you haven't found the problem, the speedo sender in the diff is known to break. Fairly easy to pull out and verify its still in one piece.

no airbags...thanks.

i have swapped the sender, verified wire connectivity from rear to front, replaced the fuse, and verified power to the little plug which goes to the back of the speedo and this am attempted to reflow the solder on the speedo board...didnt appear to work...not sure my reflow effort was the best, but i tried...

Oh well...its been two years without a speedo, so will just press on or see if i can find a replacement and swap it in...thanks for the help...
