we used ARS for plumbing and HVAC. The plumbing guys were awesome. The HVAC guys were, uh, marching to their own drum...

Sometimes I think HVAC guys are the body guys of the construction industry. Present company excepted, natch. Well, mostly.

Airplus heating and cooling has treated us very well and can probably get you a little discount, we were friends with the previous owner and have used them as have many friends

i grew up with family that owns Richards in Falls Church. Ask for Richard or John Smith. Good luck! Envious.

Why 5 mini splits instead of "central" heating and cooling? It would seem far more efficient, and with current ducting bypass systems you can run a single system like a multi-zone. Hoping Kurt (super expert) or the dorki who has a single system running like a multi will chime in on this.

You asked... I'm an engineer not an architect so I don't have an appreciation for the aesthetics of these things. I only know it won't fall down with a few feet of snow on the roof and it will still be 75 degrees inside when it's zero outside.
