Default This time around a 993 C4S

We have been toying with the idea of adding an air cooled 911 after selling our 79 911SC last year at the beginning of the pandemic.

Found a very nice 1996 993 C4S in California last month and she was delivered this past weekend.

I would describe her as a very nice driver that needs some minor sorting due to the car being off of the road for the past few years.

Took her out for the initial danger ride today and happy to report that she runs and drives very well

More like: Wow, you've had it for 4 days now. Putting it up for sale this weekend so you can move on to something else?

Never say never, I missed the air-cooled experience after selling the 1979 911 SC. Almost pulled the trigger on a 88 Carrera Targa, Celebration Edition this summer but I prefer Coupes. This C4S ticked all the boxes, turbo body, turbo brakes and suspension. She is all original, has 98k miles and in very good shape for a 25 year old car. A few fiddling items need attention but nothing that will keep me from enjoying the car while sorting her out. It is getting difficult to find drivers in this market, everything is either restored or a basket case asking big 💰

Great looking car- great buy. We had a '97 993 coupe, bought new. Sold it 7 years later for good money. I believe that is the prettiest body Porsche made for the 911. I would love to buy another, probably a '98 993 S coupe- but those prices have really gotten high.

I owned one for 12 years, and should of waited to sell it..lol. Same year and color, with 30k less miles, sold recently on BAT for 176K.

Beautiful car OP.

TY - Just about every car we looked at was going for stupid money in this market. The C4S sort of fell into our lap.

Took her out for another drive this evening and she is nothing like any of the other cars that we currently have, more of a GT cruiser but still all 911

Great car for sure. Mine makes me smile every time I drive it. Probably the only reason I have not pulled the trigger and put a for sale sign in it as I know I can never afford another one with the stupid prices. Sure is tempting tho.....
