Default FS: 2011 987.2 Boxster, 71k miles, PDK, $18k

Sold!

Automotive Attention Deficit Disorder (AADD) time folks. I'm considering putting my Boxster on the market - no real sense of urgency, as I'm sure selling a used car amidst this COVID-19 world will take a while. Feel free to pass this on via email, as I'm not advertising publicly right now. Just starting with friends on a couple of groups.

I love driving the car, I love having a convertible, and it's been perfectly reliable. Why sell it, then? Wandering eye and all that...Here are the basics:

'11 Boxster, 71k miles, PDK, $18k
VIN: WP0CA2A88BS710135
Pics: https://link.shutterfly.com/ED4D5jafmX
Badge on the back says it's a Boxster S...but it's just a base model
Black exterior, black top, tan interior
Fabspeed exhaust
Aftermarket Pioneer headunit with NAV and bluetooth
Car cover
Bridgestone S04 Summer tires with about 10K on them
New rear rotors with 6k on them
All 4 O2 sensors replaced with Bosch OE replacements
Fresh oil change with Liqui Moly 5/40 and Mahle filter
Receipts from the last 5 years (1 year with me, 4 with prev. owner)

Currently, the car is filthy, but otherwise as seen in the pics.

It also needs a microphone for the bluetooth head unit. I have a new mic, but can't get the headunit out to change it. I'll need to take it to a stereo shop to get them to pop it out for that. Not a big deal...but full disclosure.

Changed the oil yesterday, so a fresh crankcase of 5/40 LiquiMoly.

The O2 sensors kicked my butt. I spent HOURS trying to get the upstream sensors out with no luck. I'll just get lazy and have S2 Dynamics do it for me.

I'd like to blame it on lack of access from working on jackstands...but I think it's just me. I have O2 sensor sockets. I have a big@ss Dewalt impact. I have a MAP gas torch. I have PB Blaster. I still failed.

sometime all that need is a slight tap of the wrench end (with the wrench on it) with a big ass mallet to break it, after warm up from a nice drive..lol

I've been generously offered use of a mid-rise lift by another Dorki, so I will give it a try with better access. I tried the "22mm wrench/heat it up, tap with a small sledge" method, but did not have enough room to get a decent swing at it while under the car on jackstands.

Cool, once you have a decent swing it should break loose. I went through this recently on a Mini with 110k miles, and was not until I use a big/heavy sledge that I got it loose.
