Hi all,

I see that there are aftermarket add ons for the CDR 31 (and PCM) found in the 9X1 911/Boxster/Cayman and contemporary SUVs.

Does anyone know of a good reliable local shop that can install one of these kits?

I’ve watched a few videos (eg

) and while the install doesn’t look horrible, I’d rather go with someone who has done these before.

Not a installer pointer, but I have a unit from https://www.nmautomotive.co.uk/shop-...roid-auto-kits, that I never installed into my 981 before I sold the car. Nick @nmautotive provides some very detailed instlalation intructions. If you are intetested let me know.

Hi Todd - is your kit for the CDR-31 (base) or PCM 3.1 (usually with Nav)? There are apparently different kits due to hardware difference...

My car had the CDR+ head unit, that's basically the PCM 3.1 without nav. Good catch. The adapter I have will not work for you.

German Auto Works in Rockville did a great job installing a Dynavin head unit, backup camera and microphone in my E46.
