Yes, they were WOT very early. I learns.
I hope Alex has solid motor and tranny mounts. Otherwise the CAE won't work well and you'll end up fighting the CAE. What's in the car now, the BimmerWorld or AKG shifter? Both are fantastic and should be quick and easy to find the gates. I suspect you have rubber trans mounts.

Also, IMO you all run that car WAY stiff. I'd bump the rebound down, change the rear ride height, and soften the front bar.

^ But the very loose front LCAs provide for some great dynamic toe.

Curious about this as well. I had this almost identical issue happen to me years ago. (I have video somewhere). Never did figure out what was the root of the problem that caused the ABS to fail when I hit the gators on the outside of T10. But I did install a warning light and reset switch when the ABS system goes into fault mode. It basically has no rear bias when in fault mode. Only has ever happened when too much over the gators in 10 with a lot of lateral force. Only thing I can come up with is that the bumps cause enough deflection of the hub to lose sensing ability of the left front wheel and the system senses a fault and shuts off. I have made it a habit to look at the light whenever I hit the rough stuff. I can reset on the fly on the front straight and be ready for the brake zone at T1.

^ Interesting insight and fix. N0tt0n's video looked very similar to FTS's 997.2 GT3 brake lockup a couple of years ago into T1. To my knowledge he went through a lot of time and effort to discover the cause and prevention with Porsche but they were reluctant to engage. He stopped tracking his car and sold his Porsches as a result.

Team Zeus Suit had super low expectations, given that we've NEVER finished an entire race in the Brown Note RX7 car. It's taken a while to work out all the kinks, but we all agreed that our collective goal was to simply finish out a whole 9 hour race at a minimum.

So....the car ran really well during qualifying on Friday and we got put in Class 1, which was surprising since we were in Class 2 last time we were out, but hey....we don't make the rules.

Day 1 - the car ran AWESOME! At 2 hours in, we were running 4th overall in class, and then at 4 hours, we were in 3rd place!! At the 6 hour mark (which is usually when the Brown Note decides to break) we realized we had a legitimate shot at a podium. Yours truly got in the car, ran about 1.5 hours - came in for a mandatory 5th stop and some gas - and crossed the finish line in 3rd Place!!!! We got a trophy and some other swag....some other people were recognized at the awards ceremony....I wasn't paying much attention.

Day 2 - things were going well and we were cruising for another 3rd place finish, until.....you guessed it....around the 6 hour mark we got reports that the car was smoking. We had worked out our pit strategy so that we would not have to make the last brief pit stop for gas during my stint, but...the Brown Note had other ideas. Chip came in with about 1:45 left to play and the car was smoking really badly - so behind the wall we went. Some tinkering for about 45 minutes, and I got back in the car and brought it home (still smoking) for a solid 4th place finish.

To our surprise, we had gained enough points over the weekend to get 3rd OVERALL, so we got another trophy for that. So that was sweet!
And the Ionizers got a podium finish as well.....at least I was paying attention this time!

Special thanks are definitely in order to my fellow Team Zeus Suit teammates......You guys are so much fun to race with!!!!

Lastly....although not nearly as dramatic at the end, here's a couple of laps during qualifying in the BrownNote. At the 3:43 mark you can hear me screaming "That's BULLSHIT!!". Chip had shockingly lied to me on the radio and told me I had just run a 1:48 (which was, in fact, bullshit)

Well done, guys! Truly outstanding! Kinda makes me sad I missed it.

Yeah, I chew through those. I have to replace control arms every other race weekend. I've fabricated a heat shield to protect the right side bushing from the header and that has seemed to help. I keep a spare set of arms and lollipops in the trailer.

I don't know, not my car.

Hardly worth unloading the trailer for twenty minutes, though? Is there at least a half-stint enduro?

Three races. Two 30 min sprints, one 45 minute one. Also, it's totally worth it
